There are health issues that may or may not be temporarily relieved with acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, physical therapy and/or steroid injections but the same issues return over and over again. Dr. Susan Shultz aims to provide you, the practitioner, with tools to resolve the underlying conditions that lead to these chronic frustrating issues.
Drs. Shultz and Justesen are pleased to bring Acupoint Regenerative Therapies to you. They will arm you with additional techniques and procedure, skills for your toolkit to assist patients with their health challenges, and struggles with persistent pain.
Point injection therapy deals mainly with muscular, nerve and fascia pain; the type of pain that usually remains after a bad car accident or other major injury. Common locations to use this injection technique are the neck, TMJ, shoulder region or low back. Over time, muscle/fascia tension and imbalance, combined with decreased blood flow, cause abnormal forces to the joints resulting in patterns of abnormal movement which lead to arthritic changes.
We look forward to teaching you how to evaluate which patients with lingering pain will respond to acupoint, even for years, after a traumatic event. We frequently see patients who have been suffering for as long as twenty years without relief from other modalities. Within a few acupoint treatments they are pain free. We treat the cause of the pain not the symptoms.
